This recent article from E-Commerce Times explains the simple procedure: consumers let retailers know that they need to send back an item, and the merchants then provide the customers with a Web-based return label to print and affix to the package. The parcel can then be "given to a letter-carrier, dropped in a collection box, or taken to the post office." This new system should help ease the minds of hesitant Internet shoppers.
