flying fancy free

Site: http://www.ushga.org

As a kid, I used to practice jumping off chairs with an open umbrella in hand in an attempt to emulate the delayed floating technique used by Julie Andrews in "Mary Poppins." Now I've found a website created by people who really know how to fly right: the United States Hang Gliding Association. Dedicated to promoting "pilot safety, skill, knowledge and above all--fun," USHGA.org is all that and more. In addition to news, artcles, and regulations, you'll find an events calendar, locating guides for instructors and clubs, pilot rankings, classifieds, links ... in short, all the skinny you need to get introduced to this singular sport and start connecting with the hang gliding community in your area. If you've always wondered what it's like to fly, take a look at USHGA.org and learn how to make your dreams come true.
