Top 40 lyrics, year by year

All you shower-stall divas will love Lyrics World, a storehouse for the words to many of the songs that landed in the Top 40 over the last 70 years. You can search by artist, by title, or by year. Being able to search by year is especially useful if you can't remember the artist's name or don't know the song title. This site's different from other lyric databases because it includes songs all the way back to 1930, a real plus for all you Guy Lombardo and Tommy Dorsey fans. While Lyrics World is the largest site of its kind that I know of, it is still far from complete, and so it asks for your help in submitting more lyrics. Lyrics World also needs your support by speaking out to allow sites like this to continue. Some music publishers are threatening to slap lyric sites with their lawyers, even though most lyric sites receive no financial compensation for their public service. So at least for now, visit Lyrics World to get the words for a sing along, or when you're the star of the show--the next time you're in the shower.
