Golf nuts will love the ride through links' history provided by Golfweek magazine's "Fabulous U.S. Open Moments" feature. Each of these fifty memorable holes is described in a lively, "you are there" essay so even those of us unlucky enough to have missed, say, Wille Anderson's 3rd straight tournament victory (it did occur in 1905, after all) can relive it here by click on #12. My only complaint: while there are some gorgeous photos (such as of Ben Hogan's 1950 1-iron shot), there aren't enough. The descriptions are vivid, yet I was still craving more still images and even video. Nevertheless, all you golf fans will feel stirred and inspired by these dramatic U.S. Open moments.
