A report recently released by The Kelsey Group finds that the Web has become a more popular medium for business promotion and advertising, than direct mail. The report claims that 17.2% of local businesses use the Web for advertising and promotion. This figure is ahead of direct mail, but lags significantly behind the Yellow Pages. People are beginning to realize the power of Web advertising - immediate feedback. Advertisers can pull promotions, and re-allocate advertising efforts much more efficiently on the Web. The response information available to advertisers on the Web is staggering compared to the cost and time associated with collection of the same information about print, radio, or television advertising.
