Crawling and Swimming Robots Invade Florida

This fascinating web site provides information on various types of robots and autonomous vehicles. Many of these machines were developed at the University of Florida for military and police applications such as security, surveillance, hazardous chemical clean-up, and bomb-disposal tasks. Pictures and written descriptions detail the work of Dave Nivick, author of the site and a PhD Mechanical Engineering student in this line of research. Engineers, students, and robotics hobbyists alike will enjoy the articles and pictures detailing the several hexapod (six-legged) walking robots designed and built by Mr. Novick.
