A great site devoted entirely to beats. 113 Audio Resources is a non-commercial, ad-free site where DJ's can upload and download hip-hop, drum 'n' bass, and funk grooves. Drum loops in the "Beats" area are all presented in MP-3 format, so you'll need WinAmp to get the full effect. However, there are Real Audio previews to give the rest of you a taste as well. There are also helpful links to some of the more common freeware sound/music programs to help get you started. Do drop off a beat, as the proprietor wants this to be a community. But if you're new to all this, at leastcheck out some of the other content on the site, which includes links to interviews and other sites that should interest the tru hip-hop connoiseur.
