Top » Computer: PCJWeb - A Micro-Sized HTTP ServerSite: http://www.heat-on.com/product.asp?id=3&action=lookHS-Web(JWeb) from Heat-On Software is perhaps the smallest web server I have ever found. At 87K, its one (executable) file takes up very little hard disk real estate. For the real estate price, it packs a wallop. It is a relatively full-featured HTTP port 80 server. The next best thing is that it is free (while it is copyrighted software, there is no fee). It supports HTTP, directory browsing, and CGI-BIN, and using your web browser, you can further configure it. It is fast, efficient, small, and allows quick (even novice) setup. All of the files (the executable and the configuration files) can occupy the same directory. Minimum Requirements are Windows95, Windows98 or Windows NT (versions 3.5 and higher), a web browser, an active WinSock connection, and a little memory space. If you need or want the C++ source code, you can get it, but for a fee. Thu, 25 Nov 1999 12:15:07 -0800
