grafitti art revisited

If you've been to New York City recently, you know that's it now a (practically) spotless, sanitized metropolis. But there was a time, not too many years ago, when Gotham's subways were prowled by people with names like the Fabulous 5ive and The Death Squad. Street gangs? No, grafitti artists. This site, @149 St., is devoted to this waning art form. Under Artists, you'll find hundreds of examples of the work of New York painters, along with biographical descriptions.
