Cover Heaven

Looking for a site that combines your love of pop music with your online penchant for staring at photos of beautiful women? Then you need to die and go to Cover Heaven, a unique site celebrating record covers with pretty models on them. What might seem like a softcore kitschfest is redeemed by a number of notable features. For instance, when you call up a cover from the site's picture archive, say 1969's "At Your Request" by The Harry Stoneham Sound, you not only get to view it but vote on it, declaring it a "hit" or "miss" in true "American Bandstand" fashion. A Top Ten is then compiled, making it easier to view only the covers featuring the hottest in European belly dancers. Most of the covers featured here come from the '60s and early '70s, and betray a certain Playboy-mansion sensibility that will delight some and offend others. But it's all relatively clean and the copy is tasteful and free of leering. You'll probably even recognize a few of these from your parents' LP collection. Ring-a-ding-ding, hipsters!
