X Girls

MXG, as they are now called, puts out a quarterly magalog (that is, a magazine that is also a catalog) where everything in it is for sale--but the company also has a very nice online site that offers more than just another destination to spend your parents bucks at. One of the coolest features at the site is called X Girls, a serial where some of the best extreme girl athletes are snapped wearing MXG clothes, but also and more importantly, doing their thang! This is inspirational stuff that proves that girls can do some dangerous, death-defying sports. The photo essays are well-done and provide a thinking break from the fashion part of the site. While it's true that all MXG really wants to do is sell teens clothes, it's nice to see that they have enriched their site with some actual content and that they are willing to push the envelope a bit to do it.
