Prevention is better than cure...

An important adage to keep in mind, especially if you have a DSL account or cable modem. Unfortunately, it's surprisingly easy for hackers to infiltrate your PC via these conduits--if you've made the wrong enemy, your cyberassailant can screw around with your files or erase whole disks--all without leaving so much as a fingerprint.
