We normally don't think of the 1970s as a golden age of Christian music, but to Dave Hollandsworth, this site's proprietor, it truly was. He prefers the term "Jesus Music" over Gospel or Contemporary Christian, and his site renders a hymn of praise to the sounds of this overlooked decade. Some of the artists featured here in RealAudio format, like Pat Boone, will be familiar to everyone. Others may be new to you. For the uninitiated, Hollandsworth provides an exhaustive history of the genre, tracing its roots back to the rock 'n' roll of the '60s. There's also a bevy of links to online and real-world retailers who deal in these type of records (not much of it has made the leap to CD, unfortunately).
