Friends of Trees

If you are also a "friend" of the trees, plan on spending quite a bit of time at this site. The Friends of Trees is a grassroots organization which promotes community partnerships for the purpose of planting trees. There's a wealth of information on tree selection, culture, hiring a professional, and "seeding" the future. Though the organization is based in Portland, Oregon, the advice and inspiration apply to all regions.
