Male love in art throughout history

Site: http://www.androphile.org/xindex.htm

Art and myth surrounding male love span all of history and cover many lands. This site finally brings those artistic histories together into one convenient virtual place. The sites covers the Sub-Saharan Africa, classical Greece, renaissance Italy, China, Japan, Oceania, and Native America. It includes photos of ancient relics; samples of the homoerotic poetry of Plato, the Rev. E. E. Bradford, Walt Whitman, and others; and short biographies of Alexander the Great, Sophocles, and Stefan George. Museum "halls" house Greek, Roman, and Indian culture--and more are being built. In addition, there is a bulletin board (called the Symposium) and great links to sites pertaining to art, literature, history, bibliographical information, and gender issues. The Museum of Male Love, which is sponsored by The Androphile Project, can be read in nine different languages. A MUST VISIT--the images provided are stunning and the content delightfully informative.
