TIME FOR SOME HOT STOVE

'Tis the season--and I'm not referring to the year-end holidays. I'm talking about the beginning of baseball's Hot Stove League. The World Champions have been crowned and, as snow blankets the country, we long for spring and the Boys of Summer to return. Never before in the history of baseball have so many players changed teams. Often your favorite player signs with a new club, only to be announced in a small line in the daily transactions on the sports page. For those of us who follow the game year-round, this site gives us up-to-the-minute reports on trades and player movement. Thus when camps open in March we know who went where and why.
