Old Folks Offer A Valuable Perspective On Life

When you hear the phrase, "Been there, done that," then you might be listening to a senior adult. As this article points out, senior adults have already tread much of the world of youth and explored it thoroughly. Senior adults have a great perspective on the world around them. The problem is that too few young people pause long enough to talk to older folks. When we were young "pups," we sat around for hours listening to the older folk talk. We learned a lot about life and their experiences. We learned that you could get by selling apples in the Depression because you had to. One wonders: what are today's kids are learning from us?
