This Australian website has some useful information for those of us over 55. Most retired persons have to scrimp and save wherever they can. Some 18% of men and 40% of women over 65 live alone. Australia's Council on Ageing wants to assist seniors in reforming the way food is packaged. If you have ever struggled with the task of purchasing smaller quantites of goods in the market, then you already know a problem exists. Not only does COTA recognize this problem, but they strive to offer solutions. This site has a great deal of thought-provoking material in it. Pehaps we should consider implementing some of these solutions here in the good ol' U.S.A.
