Snow, Shoveling and Me

When it gets to be the season for the white stuff, I often change the words of the classic song "Let It Snow" to "Make It Stop!" While my rich friend Loretta and her husband were designing their new home (I call it Buckingham Palace West), they had a series of electric wires placed under the pavement, so when the winter precipitation starts, they flip a little switch and voila! the snow melts. Until my husband gives in to my kids and me and agrees to install a similar melting device at our home, I'll have to make due with these shoveling tips from How2.com. While digging a garden spade into hard-packed snow isn't my idea of fun, for now, it'll have to do.
