Into the space with methane

This article describes Maurizio Natali's recent research methane and its uses as a launching fuel. Launchers which exploit liquid methane as a propellant (instead of the liquid hydrogen or kerosene) may be the way of the future, since methane shows substantial advantages over other fuels. NASA is orientating itself toward using aircraft similar to the one described in the document: vehicles with propellers differentiated according to the fly-height, a design which maximizes yield and cuts down expenses.
