Nascar in the New Year

After a highly eventful 1999, you may well ask yourself, "What's next for NASCAR?" Get some answers here in this Racer magazine article covering NASCAR COO Mike Helton's latest "State of the Sport" address. Apparently plans are in the works for the long-anticipated 24-hour NASCAR cable channel, along with a cartoon series for kids set to debut in February. There will also be an enhanced online presence, something that comes as manna from heaven to netsurfers like me who look to the Web for stats and results for Winston Cup races. It looks like the millennium is kicking off in high style for NASCAR fans!
