Guilt-Free Shopping?

Donating to charity. During the holiday season, I think most people would agree with me that this is a good thing. Without a doubt, giving to charity does help others and it can also make for some guilt-free shopping excursions. Some stores have combined retail with philanthropy, by promising to donate a certain amount of their income to charity. Is this a merchant that truly believes in a cause or are they just trying to get your business by tugging at your heart?
