The Scoop on Salaries

Everyone working for a dot-com company is making a killing, right? And even if their salaries aren't high, they're compensated with lucrative stock options, right? Hmmm, maybe some are, but a lot aren't, according to this salary survey by the Association of Internet Professionals. Even among dot-com COO's, fully a quarter say they don't receive stock options. There are few other surprises in the survey, which drew responses from only 374 of AIP's 100 corporate and 8,500 individual members. So take the numbers posted here with a grain of salt. After all, who but the most generously compensated would even respond to such a survey? Not I, sir.
