Die and Go To Heaven

Flyfishing heaven, that is. Ed Blank's "Adventures on the Fly" website may be the closest we get until the Big Fisherman in the Sky calls us home. Blank has spent a lifetime flycasting in such exotic locales as Belize, Christmas Island, and Patagonia. He uses his site as a way to take you on the trips with him. Each destination has its own separate page featuring a trip description and a map, along with information on gear, tackle, and, of course, fish specific to the site in question. The oddly-named link "Women" is not a catalog of Blank's romantic conquests, as amusing as that might be, but actually a quite helpful report from Blank's fishing companion, Lisa Berger, on special concerns for female flycasters in each locale. Part travel guide, part fishing journal, this well-maintained site may just have to serve as Fly Fishing Heaven until the real thing comes along.
