art car insanity

In my town there's an art car I see everywhere: It's an old-school Volkswagon Beetle done up like a watermelon. I though that was the height of automotive craziness until I saw some of the vehicular creations at Artcars.com. Head to ArtCar Fest Photos for some images from the 1998 convention. If those don't make you want to add a little pizzazz to your tired old car, then Rick McKinney's "Build it and They Will Come" essay certainly will.
