This article from Wired.com discusses recent scientific findings about male infertility. Ironically, less fertile fathers who do manage to have children can pass the characteristics on to their unlucky sons. According to the article, geneticists have long puzzled over what causes male infertility, but trenchant research eventually revealed that gene mutation was actually one of the condition's causes. A cure in the near futue is unlikely, but scientists are already thinking of ways to use these findings as a form of temporary male contraception. If it works, it sure sounds better than the other available options...
