If you had to make a list of technological advances that characterized the '90s, the Internet and cell phones would both be near the top of the list. Now they're mating. Wired's recent article reports on Amazon.com and Sprint's recent collaborative (and successful) effort to create cordless phones that people can use to shop online. Apparently, making online purchases with one's cell phone is already old hat in Europe, but the move puts Amazon and Sprint at the vangaurd of the American movement, which, as you'd expect, is estimated to grow exponentially over the next few years. Who'll be the next one on the bandwagon?
