If you like trying new and exotic beers, as I do, then you need to make room for the Oxford Bottled Beer Database on your bookmark list. It's an audacious attempt to warehouse reviews of almost every beer brand in existence. The database is easy to use. Simply type in the name of the brew you are looking for in the box at left, or click on the alphabet at the bottom to browse by brewery or brand name. You not only get reviews (submitted by staff and by surfers like yourself) you also get recommendations of similar beers you might enjoy. Since this site was created in the U.K., it naturally skews (both critically and in terms of beers tasted) toward British and Europeasn beers. But I was cheered by the presence of Old Milwaukee, blisteringly dismissed as fit only for "poor students, and the trailer park crowd." Ouch! Is that a star-spangled beer bottle being shoved down my throat?
