Lovers of folk music will enjoy a visit to Andrew Draskoy's wonderful Shanties and Sea Songs site, where they'll find lyrics to dozens of traditional sailor's shanties. Most of us have sang the rousing verses of "Blow the Man Down" around the campfire at one time or another, but here you'll find verses to many a tune you'd never learn at summer camp--like The Dead Horse Shanty, Liverpool Judies, and Rollin' Down to Old Maui. Unfortunately, this site doesn't feature any downloadable sound clips, but Draskoy has included a discography, with links to the Amazon.com pages where the albums can be bought. There's also interesting explanations of what shanties and pilot verses are, and links to other shanty-related sites. Well worth a visit.
