Taking Humanity Higher

Unlike many conservatives, presidential candidate Alan Keyes does not view the space program as a waste of time and money. Keyes believes that exploration of space, like the western expansion before it, will be "an elevation, as an uplifting of the American people to a new vision of the kind of life that is possible for a people resolved to be free and just."
