Here's a delightful Christmas bon bon for New Republic publisher Martin Peretz, courtesy of one of his former editors, Mickey Kaus. In today's "Kausfiles" colum in Slate, Kaus takes TNR to the woodshed for a recent article by Jim VandeHei lampooning the Republican congressional candidate recruitment process.
