Lord knows there’s more than enough great contemporary soul music to go around—but if you’re like me, it's the old school tunes from the '60s and '70s that make me want to shake my groove thing. A great cyberstop to make if you want to learn more about your favorite recording artists from this era is Bing's Artist Connection. You can skip the tribute to the A.F.K.A Prince at the top of the page if you like, and scroll straight down to the great set of Artist Connection links at the bottom of the page. Click on a name like the Chi Lites or Luther Vandross, and you’ll (usually) be taken to an unofficial fan site for the group, where you’ll find info on the history of the performers, a discography, and frequently links to other fan sites and RealAudio clips as well. There’s also a special section for Funk-o-files and Motown fans--overall, a good spot to "pick up the pieces" on some fine artists whose songs will never go out of style.
