Mendel's studies involving pea plants led him to be called the father of genetics. Read a carefully hypertextualized version of Mendel's revolutionary 1865 paper "Versuche über Pflanzen-Hybriden" (Experiments in Plant Hybridization), which was largely ignored until more than 30 years after it was published.
