Alpha Lambda Tau bills itself as the International Social Fraternity For Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Alternative Lifestyle Friendly Male College Students. That's quite a mouthful! Their mission, according to the statement on their website, is "to provide social, educational, financial, career, and character building opportunities...thru motivational creative and meaningful recreational, scholastic, and community service programs." At the website you can find a wide variety of interesting pages, including their National Calendar Chapter Directory, information on employment and grants, alumni information, and other links of interest. In addition, they have some dry, but obligatory, information about joining up and how to start a chapter. More fun to me is a photo archive of their August 1999 Las Vegas Toga Party and September 1999 Reno Introduction Weekend. Where were these boys when I was a young, strapping gay libber in college?
