Apocalypse Wow!

With New Year's Day rapidly approaching and all the media attention to the "new millennium," here's a totally appropriate site! PBS ran a series on apocolypticism in September and the companion website is full of information and images. The site contains historian and scholar interviews about millennial ideas and events, examines the Antichrist as a central figure in end-time scenarios, provides a pictorial chronology of apocalyptic images, prophets, and events, and looks at apocalypticism and the American psyche. Panelists discuss what they expect will happen after January 1st. The theological viewpoint is essentially liberal, but whether your own philosophy is liberal or conservative, the site makes interesting reading in preparation for the year 2000.
