Canada's Prince of the Pan Flute

Gheorghe Zamfir may be the internationally recognized master of the pan flute, but Canada's Kevin Budd is laying his claim to The Great White North. A Toronto native who builds his own instruments, Budd cajoles an ethereal sound out of this otherworldly flute, a sound you can hear on his U.S. album "Tender Panflute Favorites." Here at Budd's website, you can view photos of the musician's handcrafted creations, download sound clips of the master at work, or read samples of his poetry.
