Top » Gay & Lesbian"They served with an extra dose of Pride"Site: http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/1151/enter.htmlOne can't help but wonder why GBLT in the military would be an issue, considering how GBLT people have been serving in the military since the U.S.'s founding. GBLT armed service members have served with courage, valor, and distinction, sometimes even more than their "straight" counter-parts. But for one reason or another site, even the GBLT community has failed to acknowledge them. But there is one website that seeks to correct this, and provide support for GBLT veterans: Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Disabled Veterans of America. You can find information about the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, VA benefits and services, military history, and more. The site doesn't seem to have been updates as recently as one would like, but much of the information is still valid and useful. Tue, 28 Dec 1999 06:19:50 -0800 Submitted by: Ninure Saunders
