Mac Sightings

For some reason, Mac fans like to keep track of where their preferred machines appear in our popular culture. I've seen a number of sites like this one, but none as deliriously obsessive. Mac Sightings catalogs appearances by Macs, Mac accessories, and Apple logos in more than 100 feature films and television programs dating back to 1983. It even references which exact Mac model was featured in, say, "Gremlins 2" or "Anaconda" (the Mac Plus and the PowerBook 5300, respectively). And if Jerry was caught on camera perusing a MacWarehouse catalog on "Seinfeld," you can bet it did not escape notice here. Each Mac-centric work is linked directly to its entry in the Internet Movie Database, for no discernible reason. So if you love Macs, or you're just really, really committed to the idea of product placement, surf on in here and have yourself a ball. It's insanely great!
