FSF: Discussion and More

The Fantasy and Science Fiction Website is a great place to visit if you'd like to join an e-mail discussion list on the subject of science fiction. Owned by Eoghann Irving, FSF facilitates the discussion of any SF or Fantasy subject. You participate by simply entering your e-mail address. In addition, the site contains a number of other fascinating features. Most fun, perhaps, are the downloadable MIDI files of TV and movie themes. Like the majority of F/SF online sites, this one leans more toward the visual media, such as Star Trek, Babylon 5, Star Wars, Aliens, and Doctor Who, but it also has a section of book reviews written by its members, which, as a professional editor, I found very interesting. The site also provides episode guides to several TV series, a directory of links, and--I found this unusual and entertaining-–a "Might Have Beens" section which gives information, even screenplays, from unfilmed series episodes and movies. This elegant and easy-to-use site is definitely worth a visit.
