This retrospective covers the past year's biggest bugs. Viruses and security holes have caused hassles, if not outright damage, this year. However, Melissa, while a high-profile bug, was not the worst of them. The number one bug "let Internet intruders into military systems and onto the Nasdaq Web site." With the growing concern over privacy and security, one can anticipate these issues will only gain importance in the year to come.
