Not So Sunny Gym

Teengrrl columnist Daisy Yu sure has some serious issues with gym class. Her screed against compulsory P.E. contains such venomous observations as "The last thing I need is an anal Mrs. Fitness America teacher screaming at me to bust my chops so I can get an 'A' in her class." Whew! Take a pill, Daisy. Still, whether you agree or disagree with Yu's thesis--namely, that gym is a useless waste of time that should be replaced by a "weight loss and athletic program"--you will find her sarcastic writing style amusing and effective. This is one teen who's not afraid to voice her opinion--and the sadistic jocks who put us through our push-up paces had best pay heed.
