Deconstructing Hillary

"Hanoi Hillary" she's not: as Tish Durkin of the New York Observer puts it, aside from "gays serving openly in the military and her tip of the hat to the homeless," Ms. Rodham Clinton is walking the same wide centrist path that Bill has carved out for himself over the past years. But if you take a close look at what Hillary's been saying about--oh, I don't know, maybe *abortion,* or *the death penalty*--it's pretty hard to figure out exactly what she's saying. After waiting through her endless waffling about her senatorial intentions, her imprecise positions shouldn't come as much of a surprise. There's only so much that Durkin can predict and decipher from the latest Hillaryspeak, but it's an interesting read nonetheless.
