If you're like me, you're probably addicted to the trenchant weekly political wrap-up offered by Mark Shields and Paul Gigot on Jim Lehrer's Newshour program. But what if you can't catch it live on Friday evenings? There's always the VCR, yes, but who ever thinks to program it in the hustle bustle of today's world? That's why this page of archived transcripts comes in so handy. It's not as foreboding as some transcript pages. The layout is inviting and there are photos and graphics to help break up the text. Beside each transcript are links to pages providing ancillary information on that week's topic. Next to a recent discussion on the presidential races there were more than a dozen links to interviews, campaign websites, and other articles about the candidates.
