How old is that doggie anyway?

Site: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_541000/541778.s

We’ve all been taught that one year of a dog’s life equals six to seven human years, but Professor Bob Michell, who is President of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom, says that's really not so. Different breeds of dogs have quite different life expectancies, so any such calculation is a very rough estimation. Michell is the author of a new report on how long dogs in the UK tend to live. Find out the average life expectancy of British canines, which breeds are longer- or shorter-lived, whether mutts do better than purebred dogs, and more.
