Saving the world’s most endangered predator

Site: http://www.africanews.org/environ/stories/19990716_feat1.html

The scene might have been a town near Yellowstone National Park in the United States with ranchers worrying about the reintroduction of wolves. Instead, the scene was Johannesburg, South Africa, and those gathered were eight Tswana tribal chiefs gathered at the invitation of the North West Parks and Tourism Board to discuss the introduction of the African wild dog to the Pilanesberg National Park. This article suggests the African wild dog is the most endangered predator on earth. It looks at the importance of the reintroduction effort and the decisions of the tribal leaders.
