Toothpaste: It's Not Just For Brushing Anymore

Site: http://www.stormloader.com/cdshopper/repaircd.htm

One reason that compact discs have become the music medium of choice is that they are more durable than cassette tapes and vinyl records. However, CDs are not perfect, and like their predecessors, CDs can still get scratched and dirty. As a result, your player may be skipping annoyingly around on some of your favorite tracks. What to do? You don't need to buy some fancy cleaner or repair kit. You probably already have what you need at home to return your smudged and nicked CDs to good condition. All you need is a damp cloth and a dab of some mild abrasive--such as plain white toothpaste. Learn more at "How to Fix Your Skipping CDs." And don't forget to brush while you're at it!
