Retire to Scenic Afghanistan

Looking to run out the clock in style? You might want to think about retiring abroad. More and more retirees--especially younger retirees--seem to exercising this option, according to this article from U.S. News & World Report. But living abroad is prohibitively expensive, right? Not necessarily. The article recommends Nicaragua and Croatia as two places that combine inexpensive property prices with livable environments. And if the thought of living in either of those formerly strife-torn nations doesn't appeal to you, you probably will want no part of the country the article calls the worst place place to retire--Afghanistan, a land noted for its "oppression of women...bandits who delight in kidnapping foreigners, rampant infectious diseases...and ravenous wolves." Youch. And my Uncle Morty told me Boca was bad!
