Bring canine cancer to heal

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation is urging dog owners to be more alert to possible cancerous lumps on their pets, and to bring the dogs in for diagnosis if lumps are found. The foundation recently issued a report on increased cancer cases in dogs, as shown in canine insurance records. They say the increase occurred in diagnoses of mast cell tumors, which usually appear as lumps under the skin.
