Dear Abby

As websites keep getting flashier and more corporate, I feel more and more affection for the home-spun, earnest (and often irreverent) personal page. Abby's Apple, "[a] personal platform for Macintosh commentary," is a perfect case in point. Seems like Abby was flush with time and inspiration a couple months ago--unfortunately, she hasn't added anything since the spate of articles she posted in November. But there's enough here to keep you busy for more than a couple of dull moments at work. Not content with publishing run-of-the-mill Mac commentary, her offerings also include a QuarkXPress AppleScripting tutorial, her own original QuickTime movie (pretty cool!) and even a three-part piece of original fiction titled "I, Macintosh." Check it out, then drop Abby a line encouraging her to post more stuff!
