Having grown up outside of Boston and destined from birth to fulfill the violin-related ambitions of my Korean mother, Seiji Ozawa was always in my peripheral vision as I progressed through the ranks of Suzuki music books. Now my violin-playing years are far behind me, and Ozawa is still with the Boston Symphony Orchestra!
